This three hundred year old traditional 'finca' (country farmhouse) has been restored to an extremely high standard, yet retains many original features eg. stone walls, wood beams and terracotta floor tiles. The property is in a beautiful and very private location - nice and secluded (i.e. not on an "urbanisation") with 360 degree views of surrounding mountains & valleys. Set in it´s own grounds of 9000 sq. mts. with olive & almond trees. It has a total inside floor area of 300 sq. mts. The reception rooms are large and comprise two sitting rooms, dining room and breakfast room all leading onto a large shaded, covered ¨naya¨ and then out onto the secluded swimming pool terrace with loads of space for sunloungers. An incredibly beautiful rural location and as the crow flies, it is about half a kilometre from a stretch of the coastal motorway however that road is not visible from the Finca as the property is in a very elevated position, set back at the rear of a hill which is above and behind the motorway which runs down in the valley below. It may be possible from the Finca grounds (although not in the house) to hear the road in the distance, as a low, background sound down the valley however, putting all this in context, it has never been an issue for previous guests as it is further away and at a lower volume than local car/ moped traffic heard from roads around a great many Moraira / Calpe villas.
Location
The Finca is situated in a 9000m2 plot of land in the tiny hamlet of Lleus at the foothills of the Sierra Bernia mountain range between the towns of Calpe and Benissa. Great location for either Moraira or Calpe. Ideal for those wanting peace, quiet and no visible neighbours. This is a beautiful green area near all amenities yet very private and exclusive. Only twelve minutes drive (much of it on beautiful country road) to the coastal town of Calpe with its fabulous sandy beaches and old working fishing port at the base of the Penon de Ifach. The town offers a wide variety of shops, excellent restaurants, plenty of daytime and night time entertainment and sporting facilites. The two large, blue flag beaches are well maintained, the water is calm & shallow and suitable for families. Also close is Benissa with it's old style buildings & narrow streets, the picturesque Jalon valley and the mountain village of Pinos. In addition to all the local sporting activities there are also several theme parks approx 40 minutes drive away (Aqualandia, Terra Mitica & Terra Natur).

"We really enjoyed our stay at Finca James. The facility was much more than we expected. It was in easy access to local beaches by car. The property was extremely private and quite and a had a very traditional feel. The owners were extremely helpful and left plenty of easy to follow instructions about the property and area. I would 100% use Casa Jaimie again and would recommend it as an ideal holiday home."
